What is the Creepy Hollow Hayride?
The Creepy Hollow Hayride is a unique experience in the dark woods designed to entertain you at every turn. The high quality of the Creepy Hollow Hayride sets it apart from any other event. Filled with spooky scenery, amazing illusions, and scary surprises, the Creepy Hollow Hayride is the finest haunted attraction in Virginia!
When are you open?
The Creepy Hollow Hayride is open select nights in October. We Sell Tickets from 7pm - 10pm Sundays & Thursdays, and from 7pm - 11pm on Fridays & Saturdays. Please see our Schedule page!
Where are you located?
We are located just off Staples Mill Road, 6 miles west of I-295. You'll see the signs on Staples Mill. Please click on directions above for more detailed directions and a map.
Can I bring my children to The Creepy Hollow Hayride?
The Creepy Hollow Hayride is an intense experience and generally not recommended for small children. We are scary entertainment. Use your own discretion if you choose to allow your children to enter. If you want to bring younger children to Creepy Hollow, be sure your child knows the difference between fantasy and reality. All children (and adults!) have different "scare" tolerances, and you know your child best.
How long will it take me to experience The Creepy Hollow Hayride?
Most people plan to spend an average of about 2 hours to enjoy all the happenings at Creepy Hollow. The time you spend may vary depending on crowds, the size of your group and waiting times. The hayride takes about 30 minutes from the time you get on the wagon. TIP: to minimize your wait, visit early in the month!
What is included in the admission price? What kind of spending money do I need to bring?
Admission is $ per body for the Creepy Hollow Hayride. Save $ when you visit both Creepy Hollow Hayride and Scream Forest with the coupon available on the website and at Fasmart and Little Caesars stores. The Creepy Hollow Hayride/Scream Forest Combo Pass is $ with coupon. On the midway you may choose to purchase hot or cold beverages, food, novelties, or travel through space and time in the Vortex Tunnel.
Do you accept credit cards?
Due to our location we are unable to process credit cards, debit cards or checks at the on-site ticket booth. You can use Credit and Debit Cards when purchasing your tickets online. Click the buy tickets image above and to the right.
Can I take pictures?
Sorry, but photography and videography is not allowed at Creepy Hollow. The spirits do not react well to bright lights...It not only hurts their eyes, but ruins the experience for others.
I've seen a hearse in the area. Is that yours?
Yes! Skully is frequently out in the area promoting our events. Our characters regularly give away discount coupons and flyers for the Creepy Hollow Hayride. If you pass it on the road, blow your horn! If you see Skully stopped, please visit and say hi.
What should I wear?
The Creepy Hollow Hayride an OUTDOOR event. October evenings can get downright chilly. PLEASE dress accordingly in WARM clothes and walking shoes or boots.
What about the weather?
Creepy Hollow will close if there is severe weather, call the 24-Hour Hotline at (804) 346-FEAR to confirm that we will be open before you drive out. Rain outs will usually not be called until after 6:00pm.
What about Security?
Creepy Hollow not only has our security staff throughout the event, we also have uniformed Hanover County Police at the event every night.
What about Groups?
Creepy Hollow welcomes groups of any size, and offers special rates for groups of 15 or more. Please email us at groups@creepyhollowhayride.com for more information and to schedule your visit.
What is Scream Forest?
Our sister attraction, Scream Forest is an intense walking adventure. A hay wagon will take you to the woods, where we leave you...on foot, with nothing between you and the creatures of the night...where no one cares if you Scream! Escape from the forest and you'll find the bedlam house - a haunted house full of surprises.
How much is Scream Forest?
